In an exclusive interview with ABC15, Democratic U.S. Rep. Raúl Grijalva defended Hillary Clinton after a new House Committee report cleared her of any wrongdoing in Benghazi.
The 2012 attack on a U.S. compound in Benghazi left four Americans dead and resulted in widespread scrutiny for Clinton, who was Secretary of State at the time.
"I think it's much to do about nothing," he said. "The 'got you' moment that should have been on Hillary, never happened, in terms of 'you're responsible, you knew about it, you should have done something.'"
While Clinton is ready to move on from Benghazi, Republicans are not so steadfast.
Donald Trump, for example, said this on Twitter:
Benghazi is just another Hillary Clinton failure. It just
never seems to work the way it's supposed to with Clinton.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 28, 2016
Grijalva, who initially supported Bernie Sanders, switched his support to Clinton earlier this month. He told ABC15 that there needs to be a united front against Trump.
