PHOENIX — Bisbee's Copper Queen Mine is known as one of the richest and most successful copper mines...ever! The artist who designed most of the ghost town at Knott's Berry Farm used this mine as inspiration for the theme park attraction. The Copper Queen Mine has over 2,000 miles of tunnels, making it one of the five largest underground mines in the world! Grab a hard hat, jump on a cart and take a tour back in time into this southwestern mine.

The famous Copper Queen Mine was closed to the public during the stay-at-home order. Now that the order has been lifted, the site reopened on June 1, 2020.
Copper Queen Mine's Official Coronavirus Precaution Statement:
Reopening June 1st, currently reservations are required for underground tours. Face coverings, closed toed and low heel shoes are necessary to go underground.
Doug Graeme, the Mine Tour Manager, shared extra precautions the CQM is taking:
- Following all CDC recommendations
- Cleaning and sanitizing per latest safety instructions from the Governor
- Face coverings are required for underground adventuring
- Practicing physical distancing
