Speed limit changes could be coming to some Phoenix streets

Speed limit changes could be coming to more than two dozen streets in Phoenix.

The changes will be based on community feedback and traffic engineers.

Among the changes, eight streets would have their speeds lowered. There are plans to increase the speed limit on some streets as well.

Black Mountain Boulevard from Deer Valley to Rough Rider Road would have the speed limit raised from 30 to 35, and the stretch along Black Mountain from Mayo Boulevard to Deer Valley would be increased from 30 to 40.

If you want to give your input, the City Council of Phoenix will be voting on the measure on Wednesday, September 19.
