Three people were found dead after a structure fire sparked in Prescott Valley Thursday.
Crews with Central Arizona Fire and Medical were called to a home located near 3100 East Yavapai Road for a fire.
Officials say around 8:15 a.m. Thursday, police received reports of a woman screaming for help, the sound of gunshots and a fire at a home in the area.
When crews arrived on scene, shots could be heard coming from inside the residence. Neighbors in the area were evacuated, police say.
After shots were no longer heard, the fire was extinguished. The investigation resulted in the recovery of three people inside.
At this time, those inside have only been identified as two women, ages 57 and 54, and a 52-year-old man.
Officials say the two women had multiple gunshot wounds. The man had one. Police are investigating this incident as a double homicide followed by a suicide.
This incident remains under investigation.
