The Arizona Department of Education has released the 2017-2018 "A through F" letter grades for schools across the Valley.

The schools were broken down by grades K-8, 9-12 and hybrid schools.

Compared to last year, the percentage of schools with A's, B's and C's all increased. Meanwhile, the percentage of schools with D's all decreased.

In two out of the three categories, F's declined as well.

Some schools that received an 'A' are Red Mountain Ranch Elementary in the Mesa Unified School District, Desert Harbor Elementary in the Peoria Unified School District, Sonoma Ranch Elementary in the Gilbert Unified School District and Saguaro High School in the Scottsdale Unified School District.

One of the schools that received an 'F' was Gila Bend Elementary. The superintendent from the Gila Bend Unified School District told ABC15 their plan was to "just keep working hard".
