Authorities evacuated residents of a small northern Arizona community because of a wildfire on Monday.

Around 2 p.m., the Coconino County Sheriff's Office had issued evacuation warnings for the Woodland Ranch area near Valle.

Deputies say around 7:30 p.m. the evacuations were lifted for the Indian Meadows Fire/Lateral Fire that burned approximately 100 acres.

According to officials, the fire was started by a resident of Wildland Ranch Road. The resident was reportedly burning yard trimmings when the fire got out of control.

An unoccupied residential structure, multiple vehicles, and several out buildings were burned in the fire.

Deputies say the American Red Cross and Coconino County Emergency Management have set up a shelter for those displaced from their homes in Williams at 636 S. 7th Street.
