GLENDALE, AZ — Police say three kids were rushed to the hospital after a 2-car crash in Glendale Sunday night.

Emergency crews were called to the scene near Grand and 67th Avenues around 7:30 p.m.

Glendale police say a woman was driving northwest on Grand Avenue when her vehicle was struck by a car turning left on 67th Avenue.

Police say the woman's car caught fire when it was hit, but the woman and her three kids were able to make it out.

Two of the kids, a young child and preteen, suffered non-life threatening injuries. The third child, a teenager, suffered serious injuries in the crash.

The man driving the car turning left on 67th Avenue was not hurt, police say. A juvenile in the car with him was also uninjured.

Police say they are investigating if the man was impaired at the time of the crash.

Traffic restrictions were put in place while officers worked to clear the scene.
