Monica McPherson has already solidified her spot as Phoenix Rising FC’s Superfan.
She goes to every match (missed one in 2018 due to surgery), owns almost every jersey in the franchise’s history, and is, by far, the loudest voice in the stands.
The next logical step, make her fandom permanent with a Phoenix Rising FC tattoo.
“Oh I love it I love it I love it!” Monica said when seeing her tattoo design for the first time. “I’m in awe. It’s amazing. I’m so excited. “
Monica trusted her friend and tattoo artist, Todd Ring to design her tattoo. He just so happens to be a Phoenix Rising FC fan as well. Todd designed the tattoo with Monica’s “fierce side” in mind.
“She wanted something tough. Something that would represent her, represent the team,” Todd Ring, Owner of Forever True Tattoo said.
The tattoo shows a grim reaper wearing a Phoenix Rising FC scarf and surrounded by red smoke, one of Monica’s trademarks.
“This is the first rising tattoo I’ve gotten to do so far,” Ring said.
Although it’s not Monica’s first tat, every tattoo of hers is inked with a deeper meaning.
“Every tattoo I have definitely has a meaning,” said Monica. “You know that I’ve followed this team for such a long time. They have me heart and soul and what better way to represent them with something I cannot take off.”
