PHOENIX — All of us are home more often and that means using more of our plumbing systems; the dishwasher, the washer and dryer, the toilet, and our sinks.
It would make sense that the need for workers to fix any issues we run into is needed right now.
"We are an essential business," explained Rooter Hero Plumbing Senior Recruiter Melissa Ursini. "And we are having an increase in our calls."
Ursini says Rooter Hero Plumbing is looking to fill plenty of positions to keep up with the at-home demand.
"It's all about teamwork," Ursini said about the company. "It's about being there, not just for us, but also for our client and being honest and doing the right thing each and every day."
They are looking for plumbers with two years or more of experience.
But they are also hiring installers. So if you have construction and labor experience or if you are simply willing to learn, Ursini said there could be an option for you.
"If you're looking to get into plumbing or get into a trade, this is the best way to start getting into a trade is coming on board with a company," Ursini said "... you start at the bottom and you move your way up. There's plenty of guys that I talk to who started with us and they started as laborers."
At Rooter Hero Plumbing, plumbers are compensated on a more commission-based model. Installers are hourly employees. Plumbers start at $50,000 and Installers can make between $15 - $32 an hour.
If you are full-time, you do have access to benefits.
"... Vision, 401K... which is not usually done in a plumbing industry," Ursini said.
