The Arizona Rattlers, the Valley’s Indoor Football League franchise, will be calling Gila River Arena in Glendale home next season while Talking Stick Resort Arena undergoes renovations.

The Rattlers, which have won six indoor football championships, announced Tuesday the team signed an agreement with Gila River Arena, also the home of the NHL's Arizona Coyotes, to play there for one season in 2020 with an option for another.

The summer of 2020 is when the bulk of the $230 million renovation of Talking Stick Resort Arena in downtown Phoenix will take place.

The team started off in the Arena Football League but joined the Indoor Football League in 2017 and won the championship that year.
