TEMPE, AZ — Arizona State University football will face off against Florida State in the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl after a 7-5 season (4-5 Pac-12), according to ESPN.
The Sun Devils started the 2019 season 4-1 including a major upset on the road against Michigan State, but lost four in a row during the middle of the season, dropping them far out of the Top 25.
They finished the regular season strong, however, with an upset at home against then #6 Oregon, and a victory against UofA in the Territorial Cup.
This will be the third season in a row that ASU has qualified for a bowl game, and the second under coach Herm Edwards. The Sun Devils, however, have lost their last three bowl games in a row.
The Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl will be held in El Paso Texas on December 31.
