PHOENIX — Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Mike Leake is expected to miss most of Spring Training after fracturing his wrist on his non-throwing hand.
According to multiple reports, Leake re-aggravated an injury suffered as a child while he was chasing his dog recently.
Leake told ESPN that he plans to still be ready to open the 2020 season with the D-backs without missing any games.
Leake went 12-11 in 2019 during time with the Seattle Marines and Diamondbacks with a 4.29 ERA.
The Diamondbacks open the regular season on March 26 against the Atlanta Braves.
