Friday was a beautiful day for some Opening Day baseball at Chase Field.
Unfortunately, the Chase Field roof didn't feel like cooperating
The Chase Field crew began the process of opening the roof less than an hour before the D-backs' home opener vs. the Boston Red Sox was set to begin. But only half the field opened, while the other half remained stuck.
Per the D-backs, an electrical issue was the cause, and the team made the decision to close the other half of the roof before the game began. Fortunately, the roof was open enough to allow fans to watch the F-35 flyover after the national anthem.
