No surprise here: The Arizona State Sun Devils women's basketball team received an invitation to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth straight season.
The Sun Devils were given a No. 5 seed in the Portland Region of the women's NCAA Tournament. They will face No. 12 seed Central Florida in Coral Gables, Florida on Friday at 4 p.m. Arizona time. The winner of that game will face the winner of No. 4 seed Miami (FL) and No. 13 seed Florida Gulf Coast.

Under 22nd-year coach Charli Turner Thorne, ASU has a 20-10 overall record and finished fifth in the Pac-12 this season. The Devils have won five straight first-round NCAA Tournament matchups but have only advanced past the first round once during that time.
The Devils' deepest-ever NCAA Tournament runs under Turner Thorne came in 2007 and '09 when they advanced to the Elite Eight.
