The Arizona Diamondbacks are donating $372,923 to support Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts.
Half of the money comes from the Dbacks 50/50 raffle fundraiser held during games over the last three days. The team then matched the donation amount from fans, bringing the donation total to $372,923.
Traditionally half of the money raised in the raffle at each game goes to Dbacks charities, but the team elected to dedicate the money to hurricane relief efforts instead during the team’s series with the Dodgers.

The Dbacks set a new 50/50 raffle record in Wednesday’s win over the Dodgers, with $245,856 raised. Half of that total contributed to the total amount donated to that team, the other went to a lucky fan.

The previous 50/50 raffle record was set in 2013 and was just over $100,000 to support the Granite Mountain Hotshots and their community after the Yarnell Hill Fire.
