Valley soccer fans will have a chance to see one of two semifinals matchups at the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
The first of two Gold Cup semifinals matchups will take place at State Farm Stadium (formerly University of Phoenix Stadium) in Glendale on July 2, CONCACAF announced Tuesday.
The Gold Cup is comprised of national soccer teams from North America, Central America and the Caribbean. The tournament is held every two years. The United States national team is the defending champion.
The 16-team tournament will begin in mid-June. The other semifinal matchup will take place at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. The championship match will be held at Soldier Field in Chicago.
The United States team will play in Group D and will play its round-robin games in St. Paul, Minnesota, Cleveland, and Kansas City, Missouri.
