GLENDALE, AZ — Members of the public will not be allowed to attend the upcoming Arizona Cardinals games against the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers due to the rising COVID-19 cases in the state, the team announced on Friday.
The Cardinals are scheduled to host the Eagles on December 20 and the 49ers on December 26 at State Farm Stadium.
The team said it made the decision "based on the latest COVID-19 information and guidance from the Arizona Department of Health Services," according to a statement.
Officials say as has been the case with previous games, the only spectators permitted to attend will be a limited number of immediate family members of Cardinals players and staff.
