A report on Tuesday from KDKA said Miller to Pitt "could be a done deal within the next 24 hours" and "there is better than a 50 percent chance" that he will accept the position.
Miller was a point guard for Pitt from 1987-92. Former Pitt coach Jamie Dixon left the Panthers to take the head coaching position at his alma mater, TCU, on Monday.
Miller just completed his seventh season as UA head coach. On Thursday, the Wildcats were ousted in the first round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
