Suggs, a defensive lineman who started as a freshman in 2000, set the NCAA record for sacks in a season in 2002 with 24. That year he was named Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year and took home several postseason honors, including the Lombardi Award and Bronko Nagurski trophy.
He was drafted with the 10th overall pick by the Baltimore Ravens in 2003, and has remained with the team ever since. In 16 seasons, he has recorded 132 sacks and 33 forced fumbles and was named to seven Pro Bowl squads.
Rapoport's reporting was subsequently confirmed by Arizona Sports' John Gambodoro.
Suggs will turn 37 this October.
