When a woman was about to miss her flight because of a new rule imposed by her airline, Arizona Cardinals tight end Jermaine Gresham came to the rescue.

Recent ASU graduate Delilah Cassidy was unaware that American Airlines had instituted a new policy in which passengers are required to pay for carry-on items. Cassidy wasn't carrying cash, and her credit cards were declined since her bank was unaware that she had returned from her vacation, so it appeared she would have to miss her flight back home Wednesday.

Overhearing her conversation with the American Airlines agent, Gresham sprung into action, offering to pay the $50 to allow Cassidy to board her flight. Cassidy offered to pay Gresham back, but he refused, instead encouraging Cassidy to "pay it forward."

Cassidy didn't realize until after the fact that her "angel" is, in fact, the Arizona Cardinals tight end.
