It's not your imagination: That "Jake from State Farm" commercial has been around forever.
On Wednesday, the Arizona Diamondbacks decided to parody the famous (or infamous, depending on your perspective) ad in an effort to get third baseman Jake Lamb to the MLB All-Star Game.
Lamb is one of five finalists in the annual fan vote for the final slot on the National League All-Star team. He starred in the following spoof, along with D-backs pitcher Archie Bradley (on the phone).
It's Jake...from the #Dbacks. #VoteLambhttps://t.co/K21fydDeU6

You might have noticed a wall hanging shaped like the state of Oklahoma in the background. Bradley happens to be from Muskogee, Oklahoma.
.@Dbacks We're gonna go on a limb and guess this was filmed at @ArchieBradley7's house. #Oklahoma pic.twitter.com/ZS3F1c8eiy

@abc15sports Here's a peak behind the curtain for ya: the three stars of the video are actually roomies too. #VoteLamb

Yep, the D-backs are pulling out all the stops to help Lamb make his first All-Star appearance. They even brought a real lamb to the ballpark Wednesday.
