He's a former basketball star at Phoenix Shadow Mountain High School, an NCAA champion with the Arizona Wildcats and a 14-year NBA veteran.
But as discussed on Thursday's Wildcat Country podcast: Mike Bibby apparently remains unrecognizable to some Valley residents, including those who like to hoop.
While attending his daughter Janae's volleyball game for Shadow Mountain HS on Wednesday, the 39-year-old Bibby headed out to a nearby basketball court and decided to play a couple guys in a game of 21.
You would imagine this would be quite a thrill for his opponents -- except neither man recognized him. Mike's son Michael, who took video of the encounter, said his dad told his opponents that his name was Chris. Then, "Chris" proceeded to school them on the court.
