Professional football player and former Arizona State Sun Devil Terrell Suggs was arrested early Friday in Scottsdale.
Scottsdale Police said Suggs was involved in a crash at 1:20 a.m. near Hayden and Thompson Peak. Officers found Suggs' BMW 750Li in the Fry's Food parking lot nearby.
Police said Suggs was not impaired, but told officers he may have possibly fallen asleep before the crash.
Officers determined his license was suspended and he was arrested at 2:03 a.m. He was cited for leaving the scene of an accident and driving on a suspended license. He was booked into jail and released.
A statement from his rep, Denise White, confirmed Suggs was involved in a crash and detained. The rep said Suggs' license was suspended due to speeding tickets in a statement posted to Twitter.
