Phoenix Suns forward Josh Jackson has been fined by the team for a violation of team rules, the team announced Thursday.
Arizona Sports' John Gambadoro reported Jackson was fined $20,000 for not showing up at a team event Wednesday night.
The 20-thousand fine for Josh Jackson for not showing up at a sponsored event is double what I expected it to be. It does set a level of accountability in the organization. Thought he could be suspended too but Suns go with a hefty fine to set a standard.

The 22-year-old Jackson was selected by the Suns with the fourth overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. He is averaging 11.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game this season.
