A single hurricane can cause loss of life and billions of dollars in damages, so it's no surprise people have looked at a variety of ways to eliminate them all together.
One of those ideas is to drop a nuclear bomb in the hurricane's eye to disrupt the storm with a sudden burst of energy.
Not to spoil the video, but this would be a bad idea for a number of reasons.
Other ideas have included cloud seeding, placing icebergs in a hurricane's path and placing substances on the ocean's surface.
Hurricane season doesn't officially begin until June 1, so we still have a little time to come up with more ideas to steer hurricanes away from the US.
