PHOENIX — A deadly crash has closed Loop 202 South Mountain southbound near Southern Avenue.
According to the Department of Public Safety, a white SUV rolled over and landed on its roof.
One person inside the SUV died and a second person suffered unknown injuries, DPS said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
According to officials, the left lane in the southbound lanes remains closed.
There is no estimated time for when the freeway will reopen.
