PHOENIX — Five people were taken to the hospital after a crash near 59th Avenue and Thomas Road Saturday afternoon.
Officials say two vehicles were involved in the crash and one person required extrication.
Fire officials say a child was taken to the hospital in stable condition and four other women were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
It is currently unknown what led to the crash.
The area is closed in all directions while the crash is under investigation.
