The ride from Apache Junction to Tortilla Flat is a scenic one, but it's also known for being dangerous. There have been too many rescues involving cars careening off of cliffs, and now ADOT is taking action on State Route 88.
A lot of changes are on the way: replacing old signs, updating pavement markings, pave vehicle pull out, and more. ADOT is now finalizing design plans for the work, which is slated to begin next year.
