GLENDALE — A teen boy is dead and three other teens are hospitalized after a crash on Grand Avenue Thursday.
Just after 7 p.m., Glendale police were called to Grand and 53rd Avenue for a single-vehicle crash.
During an investigation police learned a blue Infiniti G35 was traveling at a speed above the posted speed limit when the driver lost control.
Police say while traveling northwest on Grand Avenue an unknown vehicle made a left turn from southwest Grand Avenue onto 53rd Avenue. The driver of the Infiniti swerved to avoid hitting the other vehicle and spun out of control, striking a curb.
The vehicle rolled and three of the four people inside the vehicle were ejected, according to police.
The driver, an unlicensed 17-year-old boy, and two 16-year-old girls were taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A 15-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
Impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
Police were looking for the driver of a truck that is believed to have been involved.
Officials say the truck has been located and seized, but police are still investigating who was driving the truck at the time of the crash.
This crash remains under investigation.
