A man was struck and killed on Loop 202 near 51st Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.
Officials say the man ran onto the freeway to remove a wheelbarrow when he was hit by a passing truck.
The man was pronounced dead on scene.
Westbound lanes remain closed in the area for several hours.
The left lane on Loop 202 near 51st Avenue reopened shortly before 5 p.m.
