PHOENIX — One man is dead and four others are hospitalized after a crash near 75th Avenue and Thomas Road Friday afternoon.
Officials say that a juvenile boy was among those taken to the hospital. His age has not been specified.
Police say a car occupied by three people ran a red light and crashed into a vehicle attempting to make a left turn. All three were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver making the left turn died in the crash. Phoenix police have since identified him as 25-year-old Miguel Ornelas Campos.
Police say a pedestrian was standing on the corner of the intersection and was hit. That individual was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
This crash is currently under investigation.
