PHOENIX — One person was killed in a crash involving a pedestrian along Interstate 17 in Phoenix early Thursday morning.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the crash occurred in the southbound lanes of traffic near Bethany Home Road.
A pedestrian reportedly ran into traffic and was hit by a tractor-trailer just before 5:25 a.m.
It's unknown why the pedestrian, only identified as a 32-year-old man, ran into traffic.
The investigation is ongoing.
