PHOENIX — A pedestrian is dead after a crash along Interstate 17 in Phoenix overnight.
The crash occurred early Monday morning in the southbound lanes near the Durango Curve.
ABC15 crews at the scene were told the pedestrian died from their injuries.
Following an investigation, police believe the man intentionally running in front of traffic when he was struck and killed.
The crash blocked traffic for several hours but reopened around 4:45 a.m.
