Scheduled improvement projects will close parts of Loop 101 and Loop 202 this weekend, November 6-9, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Here is ADOT's Weekend Freeway Travel Advisory, as it appears on the official site:
- Westbound Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) closed between Tatum Boulevard and Cave Creek Road in north Phoenix from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Nov. 9) for widening project. Northbound State Route 51 ramp to westbound Loop 101 closed. Westbound Loop 101 on-ramp at 56th Street closed. 16th and 32nd streets closed in both directions at Loop 101.
- Detour: Expect heavy traffic and delays. Consider alternate routes. Westbound Loop 101 traffic exiting at Tatum Boulevard can detour to westbound Deer Valley Drive or westbound Union Hills Drive and use Cave Creek Road or Seventh Street to reach westbound Loop 101.Traffic will detour along the off- and on-ramps at Seventh Street. Drivers also can consider alternate local routes.
- Northbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) closed between US 60 (Superstition Freeway) and Southern Avenue in the Tempe area from 4 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday (Nov. 9) for pavement improvements. Eastbound US 60 ramp to northbound Loop 101 closed. Eastbound US 60 on-ramp at McClintock Drive closed. Westbound US 60 ramp to northbound Loop 101 will remain open. Northbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Guadalupe Road closed. Northbound Loop 101 ramps to east- and westbound US 60 will remain open.
- Detour: Northbound Loop 101 traffic can exit at Baseline Road and use northbound Price frontage road. Alternate routes include northbound Dobson Road and McClintock Drive.
- Eastbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) closed between McClintock Drive and Price Road in Chandler from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Nov. 9) for lane striping. All I-10 ramps to eastbound Loop 202 closed. Eastbound Loop 202 ramp to northbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) closed. Eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Kyrene Road closed. Eastbound Loop 202 (South Mountain Freeway) traffic traveling east of I-10 on the Santan Freeway must exit at McClintock Drive.
- Detour: Consider alternate routes including eastbound Chandler Boulevard.
- Northbound Loop 202 (South Mountain Freeway) narrowed to two lanes near Buckeye Road from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 7) for construction. Southbound Loop 202 (South Mountain Freeway) narrowed to two lanes between Broadway Road and Salt River bridge from 6 a.m. to noon Saturday (Nov. 7) for construction. Southbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Broadway Road closed.
- Detour: Be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through work zone.
