MESA — The US-60 westbound at Gilbert has reopened after a four-vehicle crash occurred around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning, according to Mesa PD.
One car was rear-ended, causing it to spin out, police say. This caused a chain-effect, which involved three other vehicles.
Police say six people were transported to an area hospital in critical condition, including small children.
Injuries appear non-life threatening, but police did say four of the patients were transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Police are investigating whether impairment was a factor in the crash.
