If you’re a teacher, you know how expensive it can be. In many cases, being an educator means spending money out of your own pocket for supplies for your classroom, including pens, paper, tissues and even books.

To show appreciation for all the teachers who go above and beyond for their students, Walmart is hosting a Teacher Appreciation Night on July 13.

While not all Walmart stores are participating, many are, so be sure to find one near you. Teachers can head these locations from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on July 13 for free cake, ice cream and beverages. There will also be a fun photo booth, and the first 300 teachers at each store location will get a swag bag filled with freebies from Crayola, 3M, Bic, Fiskars and more!

You may need to bring your teacher ID or show your school email address to participate, so make sure you have proof that you are indeed a teacher.

While Walmart’s teacher appreciation event is only one day, Target is giving educators an entire week to enjoy a 15% discount.

To receive Target’s one-time use coupon that can be used in stores or online from July 13-July 20, just fill out a short form with your school’s name, your name, the school’s email address and your personal email address. You will then receive Target’s coupon via email.

The discount applies to all U.S. teachers, including those who work in daycare centers, early childhood learning centers, home schools and more. If you work with kids in any educational capacity, this deal is for you!

While you will save 15% on school necessities like supplies and classroom storage, the discount also applies to food storage bags, disinfecting wipes, sanitizer and even women’s and men’s apparel, accessories and shoes.

Exclusions include electronics, backpacks, lunch bags, trial and travel-size items, swimwear, sleepwear and more.
