FLAGSTAFF, AZ — Another major winter storm is expected to hit northern Arizona later this week, potentially dropping more than a foot of snow in some areas.
A storm that produced heavy snowfall in Flagstaff and other spots in northern Arizona over the weekend is expected to continue producing snow showers on Tuesday. The weekend storm dumped more than 14 inches of snow in Flagstaff, six to eight inches in Payson, and four to seven inches in Prescott.
ABC15 Meteorologist Iris Hermosillo says after a couple of dry days, our next big winter storm moves in Thursday and Friday.
NOW is the time to start preparing: A major winter storm could bring several FEET of snow to the high country Thursday & Friday. Do your grocery shopping/errands today & tomorrow. You'll probably want to avoid travel Thursday, but if you must, have an emergency kit #abc15wx #azwx pic.twitter.com/ILOkctBh6r
