TEMPE, AZ — Arizona State University President Michael Crow has been recognized by Time Magazine for his efforts as a leader in sustainability.
Crow is one of more than a dozen Leaders on the Time100 Climate 2024 list.
ASU launched the school of sustainability under Crow’s leadership in 2006 and has continued to focus on climate solutions.
This fall, the university started requiring all new students to take a sustainability course under the general studies curriculum.
“We need to enable the next generations to think about the actual issues of how the planet works, our role on the planet, and the sustainability of our relationship with the planet,” Crow said in an interview with Time.
