PHOENIX — Monday and Tuesday will be ABC15 Weather Action Days as we track significant impacts on outdoor events and road travel across Arizona.
The second storm will impact Arizona starting tonight through Tuesday bringing more rain and snow to our state.
Scattered rain showers are possible throughout the day on Monday with chances for thunderstorms and heavier rain in the afternoon.
Right now, estimates show that some Valley locations could get half of an inch to an inch of rain by Tuesday afternoon.
It'll be cool too with Valley highs staying in the upper 50s.
Additional snow to the high country of four to six inches above 5000 feet and eight to twelve inches above 6000 feet.
Winter Storm Warnings have been posted across the high country for any area above 5000 feet. Travel will continue to be an issue into early Tuesday morning across the high country as the next storm moves in.
Winds will be stronger too. Gusts in the Valley could be around 25 mph and up to 50 mph in northern Arizona.
A few spotty rain and snow showers are still possible on Wednesday and then we'll finally dry things out again toward the end of next week.
