and last updated

PHOENIX — A weak storm system passed to our north today, picking up breezes across Arizona and bringing in some cooler air.

Temperatures have dropped several degrees with highs falling into the mid 70s across the Phoenix metro area this afternoon.

Tonight, most of the Valley will drop into the 40s as we track widespread freezes across the high country.

High pressure will build in on Wednesday and Thursday, warming temperatures into the low 80s by Thursday afternoon here in Phoenix.

Then, we're tracking another storm system approaching Arizona as we head into the weekend.

Winds will pick up again on Friday and we may even see some rain and snow showers across Arizona on Saturday, Sunday and Monday as temperatures drop.

Stay tuned for updates as we get closer.
