Back-to-back storms will move through Arizona this week bringing more wind, rain and snow to our state.

Tuesday and Thursday are ABC15 Weather Action Days as a reminder to take action and get ready for potential impacts to road travel, events and outdoor activities.

The first storm is moving now with showers and thunderstorms impacting the Valley overnight. Some areas could pick up a quarter to a half of an inch of rain.

Up north, snow levels will be hovering between 6,500 to 7,500 feet. Flagstaff could get one to three inches of snow.

Winter Weather Advisories are in effect through mid-day Wednesday for areas above 7,000 feet in elevation along the Mogollon Rim. These spots will get two to six inches of snow along with wind gusts over 30 mph.

A few lingering showers may continue across parts of the state on Wednesday before an even stronger storm moves in on Thursday.

Early estimates show we could get another quarter of an inch of rain in parts of the Valley and another four to eight inches of snow in Flagstaff.

Snow levels will drop to 3,500 feet by midnight Friday, which could bring accumulating snow to the mountains just north and east of the Valley.

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect Thursday evening through Friday morning for elevations above 6,000 feet along the Mogollon Rim and Kaibab Plateau. These areas could receive six to 12 inches of snow with wind gusts over 50 mph.

Another quick-moving storm could clip into northern Arizona on Saturday, keeping rain and snow chances in the forecast across our state over the weekend. We'll keep you posted on this one as we get closer.
